Makes a lovely, thick, hot pad for the table.

Easy to learn shaping (beginner level), easy to memorize pattern makes this an ideal portable project. Works up very quickly.

I also have a companion dishcloth available (Squishy Feathers Dishcloth) using a variation of this pattern with four scallops that is a tighter, more compacted knit than this hot pad and makes a wonderful dishcloth. The two of them together make a nice housewarming gift set.
