You simply can’t go wrong with Breton stripes. St. James is named after my favourite marinière.

St. James is a big rectangular wrap, created with twisted rib and Japanese stitches. The stripes are mirrored from the center so there’s a natural and a blue side. St. James is knit in a fingering yarn, so it can easily be worn as a scarf too.

The length can be adjusted by leaving out a few stripes on both sides of the center.

St. James is the big brother of St. Ives which is a more feminine triangular shap with a ruffle.
