Stablemates Thoroughbred Horse
by Jan McKinnon
This is the first of the Stablemates series to be published; the photo collage shows 3 more to be released soon. Purchases will be linked so that buying any one of the series gives 75% discount on all others.
Horses shown are all worked in thin chenille, but any yarn may be used. The body is worked in 3 threads together, so fingering weight is recommended.
Using recommended yarn and hooks will give a horse approx 28cm long, from nose to tail.
Different body parts are worked in 1,2 or 3 thicknesses of yarn and hook size varies to suit.
Technically this is not a difficult pattern but working the leg shaping involves working in the round with few stitches and requires a lot of concentration.
