A unique pattern made with no foundation row, but making an arch into a row of arches, making row upon row of arches, hence the name stacked arches. I have not designed the foundationless chain stitch, but I have used it and lengthened the stitch. ( a big thank you to the person who engineered foundationless chain stitch) The main stitch is a double treble foundationless chain stitch. The border is designed to mirror the shells at the top of the arches. There is no sewing involved, the seams are made of stacked single crochets or slip stitches and clusters to finish the front and back panels, the hood is made directly from the panels. It is very lightweight, and can be made as a beach cover up, or summer top for the cooler days. Looks good with a tee under and suits being worn over jeans. The instructions include written pattern, charts and video links for each step of the way. It is so simple to make and can be made longer, shorter, hoodless or sleeve less. There is the option to make to a smaller size by following the single arches, otherwise for loose and free fitting following the multiple arches.
