Staghorn Brioche
This two-colour brioche cowl (worked flat) features the undulating Staghorn pattern, made even cooler by the effect of the brioche. I’m a sucker for this pattern.
The cowl is versatile - simply work pattern longer for a scarf. Easily upsizeable - simply use larger yarn with matching needles.
Yarn: DK weight yarn in the amounts below, shown in:
250m (273yds) of Wendy Merino DK 40% cotton, 30% silk, 30% viscose, 125m (136yds) per 50g in MC: Purple and CC: Olive
Needles: 4mm (US 6) — any length circular needle
Notions: 4 locking stitch markers (optional)
Gauge (given after blocking):
22 sts and 30 rows per 10cm (4in) over Stocking stitch
Finished Measurements:
18cm (7in) wide and 112cm (44in) long
