These fingerless mitts consist of a beautiful Staghorn cable down the backside of these mitts. This cable is very common with knitted items and now it is available in crochet with my fingerless mitts!

This design a simple and practical design but keeping that beautiful horseshoe-like cable. These mitts look like they were knitted, but they are FULLY CROCHETED! The post stitching gives that ‘smooth’ appearance in the palm area. This allows for the ease of slipping on and a nice comfortable fit at the wrist and upper arm because the crocheted fabric is very stretchy. In addition, a gusset for the thumb is gently shaped and closed off as you work your rounds.

The yarn used is from sock yarn. It has a very cozy feel and provides lots of warmth due to the wool blend contents of the yarn. If it’s good enough for your feet, it’s gotta be good enough for your hands!

This pattern has written instructions only. You must be familiar with post stitches and cables using treble stitches. Skill level is INTERMEDIATE, but also for the adventurous EASY level crocheter.
