Stalactite features an interesting, contrasting stalactite stitch pattern making this a modern yet timeless knit. The pullover is knitted from the top down in one piece beginning at the neckline. Once the pullover is completed, stitches are picked up to knit the turtleneck in the round. Positive ease make it perfect for layering for those chilly winter days and early spring mornings.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Colour A: 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6) (8, 9, 10, 11) skeins of Gilliatt by De Rerum Natura (100% merino, 273 yds / 250 m ‒ 100 g) or approx. 951 (1070, 1188, 1307, 1391, 1426) (2132, 2395, 2698, 3122) yds / 870 (978, 1086, 1195, 1271, 1303) (1950, 2190, 2467, 2855) m of worsted-weight yarn. The sample was knitted in colourway Granit as colour A.
Colour B: 1 skein of Gilliatt by De Rerum Natura (100% merino, 273 yds / 250 m ‒ 100 g) or approx. 29 (32, 35, 38, 42, 43) (50, 57, 63, 70) yds / 26 (29, 32, 35, 38, 39) (46, 52, 58, 64) m of worsted-weight yarn. The sample was knitted in colourway Poivre Blanc as colour B.
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 32” (80 cm) circular needles for stockinette stitch, US 6 (4 mm) 32” (80 cm) and 16” (40 cm) circular needles for ribbing and US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needles for the upper ribbing of the collar.
Notions: 8 stitch markers, waste yarn and tapestry needle.
GAUGE
21 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) on US 7 (4.5 mm) needles in stalactite stitch pattern, after blocking.
