Stan The Snowman-Plushie or Door Stop
Introducing Stan The Snowman – Plushie or Door Stop. Stan is a very versatile young man. He can be made two ways – either as a Plushie or a Door Stop. Stan’s concept was born whilst I was making my sister something special for Christmas.
Skill level is Beginner.
English Pattern Only and it is written in US Crochet Terms. The pattern is designed to be crocheted mostly in continuous rounds. There is a couple of closed rounds and a few items are designed in rows – don’t worry they are all clearly stated. This pattern is 7 pages.
Finished Stan The Snowman – Plushie or Door Stop is approximately 33cm tall & 19cm - using the material stated below. And weighs approx 300g as a plushie and around 900g (your choice) as a Door Stop.
Materials:
8ply in White, Black, Orange, Red, Green & Blue (your choice for mittens & scarf)
Crochet Cotton/Tapestry Thread in White
3.75mm Hook
2 x 8mm Black Beads
3 x 2½mm Black Buttons
Hobby Fill – stuffing
approx. 700g Weighted Pellets - if making the door stop
Tapestry Needle, Stitch Marker, Pins & Scissors
Stitch Key:
magic ring
sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
sk - skip
inc - increase = eg: 2 sc in the same stitch
dec - decrease = eg: 2 sc together
BLO - back loop only
FLO – front loop only
FO - fasten off
