Standing Dragon
Crochet is a little bit magical! You use a hook to weave a strand of string into something entirely new with its own life.
This amigurumi pattern has a fun narrative tutorial written from the perspective of a wizard transmuting string into a dragon companion, and it walks you through step by step of creating this dragon plush! There is a printable pattern at the end with plenty of pictures to help. This pattern would be suitable for beginners with a little experience because of the tutorial!
Join a wizard in creating a standing dragon, perhaps ready to stand guard! The dragon is not too big, so this is a pattern that is not incredibly time intensive, and since I love crocheting more than sewing, stitches are used whenever possible (so no sewing on individual toes or things of that nature!)
This works on multiple kinds of yarn and stays true to the general shape - pictured are weight 4, and weight 6 yarns. Crochet hooks should be selected that are either appropriate to yarn recommendations or a little smaller (to make a tighter weave). You will also need stuffing and a yarn needle. Safety eyes recommended, but optional if you wish to crochet your own.
I hope you enjoy the pattern!
