A versatile spring cowl, knit up quickly in a breezy recycled cotton yarn. A great starter project for knitters new to colourwork and light enough for spring weather.

Standing room is a graphic pattern full of vertical lines packed together across the cowl with a bold zig zag effect.

Any aran weight cotton yarn will do for this, as long as it meets the gauge - however for a cowl, you have a bit of flexibility in that respect.

I prefer this cowl on the short side, but if you wanted more height the pattern is easily adaptable.

I have included a big help page with a mini guide to colourwork if you are new to this type of knitting as well as some videos which might be helpful.

Happy Knitting!
