“An arrangement of a certain number of lines, usually four or more, sometimes having a fixed length, meter, or rhyme scheme, forming a division of a poem.”

There’s a definite stanza to this piece, a sure rhythm and division of repeats… and like a good poem it flows together to make a coherent whole. Enjoy making your own Stanzas and in true poetic form, be free to make adjustments to the phrasing… adding either width or length to your piece.

Materials:
Malabrigo Mecha 1 - 2 skeins depending on your poem, US size 10 needles (straight or circular), 16” circular cable for provisional CO (and spare size 9 or 10 tip if needed), yarn needle, row counter (optional).

Sizes:
Sonnet: a close-fitting neck warmer, about 7” by 10” laid flat.
Ballad: an infinity scarf for doubling. About 7” by 23.5” laid flat.

Colorways used: In the lower picture the colors and sizes are (left to right):
Candombe Ballad (used two skeins completely)
Lotus Sonnet (used one skein completely)
Lluvias Sonnet (pattern as written, about 120 yards)
Tabacos Sonnet (same as above)
