A seriously handsome scarf featuring beautiful cables and subtle openwork that keep you engaged all the way through

  • Scarf is worked flat from one end to the other, with i-cord selvage being worked simultaneously with scarf.
  • If you prefer a longer scarf, be sure to account for additional yardage.
  • Main pattern repeat can be worked from chart or written instructions. Written instructions are arranged in two columns per page.
  • 1x1 ribbing invites using a cast on and bind off such as the 1x1 Rib Cable Cast On and Italian Tubular Bind Off. Brooklyn Tweed has excellent videos for both of these techniques on YouTube if you would like to use them.

Yarn
500 yds / 460 m worsted weight, round yarn (3 or more plies) that is soft enough for next-to-skin wear; select a solid or tonal colorway to best show off the stitch work. To work a longer scarf, be sure to add more yardage.

Brooklyn Tweed Imbue Worsted catches the light with excellent results. 5 hanks were used in the sample, measuring 64”.
Feel free to use needles a size larger for increased drape.
