This is a neat, non-slouchy, star-patterned beret, which is knit from the top down.

Can be knit with any weight/tension of yarn: sizing measurements are given.

Four sizes included, from small child to large adult.

Viewed from the top the beret has a pretty six-pointed star shape; from the sides the pattern shows as zigzags.

Takes up to 100g of aran weight yarn, plus 4mm and 3mm double pointed/circular needles. Using more than one colour, or using variegated yarn, will display the star pattern better: it’s a great pattern for using up small amounts of yarn.
