I wanted to create a pattern, where the cables created a star at the top of the hat. It was a figure-it-out-as-you-go design. So, I watched it being born as I was knitting.

It is worked in worsted weight yarn, so it is a nice weight and fit.

I tried different ribbings at the beginning of the hat, so you can pick your favorite.
