Errata: V2 published 7/8/24 - corrected instructions for the front flaps where I had a purl row in the wrong spot, and clarified the knit/ purl inversion method for making a mirror image second flap.

This is a pattern for a fun and cozy star-shaped bunting or onesie with button closure and ribbed hand/ foot cuffs. It comes together very quickly thanks to the bulky yarn. It took about 5 hours to make my sample piece.

This is meant to fit a larger baby, roughly in the 12-18 mo size range, but the pattern is very adjustable.

You will need 1 ball of Bernat Blanket yarn and 3 x 1” buttons.

The bunting is made in pieces then seamed. The button band, cuffs, and hood are picked up and knit after assembly.
