Did you know that there was once a Cat Constellation? It was created by French astronomer and cat lover Jérôme Lalande in 1799. While the Felis constellation isn’t actually considered A Thing anymore, it lives on through this weird capybara/wombat-looking illustration found on Wikipedia.
This (much more accurately-drawn) cowl commemorates the common cat with celestial aspirations. Knit out of two different DK weight yarns, this quick project will keep your neck and shoulders warm and show off your kitty pride at the same time.
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES
Long-tail cast on, stranded colorwork, working in the round. A special tutorial is provided for float management.
YARN:
Choose two yarns with strong contrast between their values to ensure the best results. While I prefer using a superwash Merino with good twist and round ply structure, honestly, this is a pretty forgiving pattern.
