Star Flowers
Knitted wire is the ideal fabric for three-dimensional knitting. Flowers can be used to make luscious brooches, hairslides, corsages, hat decorations, bag accessories or even a bouquet just for display. Star flowers start as two strips of knitting with a spiky edge. Gather the straight edges, stitch them together and finish them off with a couple of beaded stamens.
Additional materials:
seed beads
4mm crystals
rayon thread
mesh-fronted brooch back
tapestry needle
beading needle
beading or sewing thread to match wire colour
round-nosed pliers
