The yarn that I made it with is no longer for sale, but this would work well with any self-striping fingering weight sock yarn.

My pattern is written to use 2 circular needles (see below) but could very easily be changed to the Magic Loop method.

This pattern could be made 3 ways:

  2. Using one long circular needle and the Magic Loop method (again divide with 80 & 120 stitches). See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ6gvswaCoI at YouTube for detailed instructions.

  3. You could use a set of four or five double pointed needles. I haven’t done the math for how to best divide the stitches.
