Star Napkin
I love to use these cute cotton cloths under my cup, the corners stick out just enough to wipe fingertips on when I’m snacking with my tea. They’re handy as napkins when we can all use a bit more reusable items in our lives; and, ideal for handling hot items out of the microwave. They make good washcloths as well, a new mom might appreciate a few of these as a part of a baby shower gift. Nobody will stop you from using them for dishwashing, of course.
These are worked flat, each of the five parts are made with seven garter ridges, there are no seams - each new segment is started by picking up stitches through the slipped stitches on the side of the previous segment. The side of the fifth segment is joined to the cast on edge of the first segment as you go.
