Design is presented both in chart and written instruction format.

The Star of David is recognized as a symbol of Judaism, the cultural traditions and religious beliefs of the Jewish people. Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions, dating back to the Bronze Age. It strongly influenced later religions, including Christianity, Islam, and the Baha’i faith. The Torah, Judaism’s most sacred text, comprises the first five books of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). The Star of David is said to resemble the shield of the biblical King David. This six-pointed hexagram also appears in Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain art, where it represents balance and union.

The knitting itself is not complicated, but it is important to count and follow chart (or written instructions) accurately. The knitting is basic; the chart following is basic (for a given row, all stitches are on one chart); and the chart management is basic (entire design is on one chart).

Charts and written instructions were created using Stitchmastery software.
