Star of my heart
I like garments that morph. When it becomes a little chilly I need something to keep my shoulders and hands warm. When it is really frosty, I want to wrap the scarf double to prevent my ears and neck from freezing.
This cowl has an extra pocket which can be used as a muff when it is worn like a shawl wrapped around the shoulders with the pocket in front. Once the pocket is turned to the back of the neck, it prevents the cowl form folding up and when the other part is slung around the head it works like a hood leaving no gap at the back head.
What I like most about Star of my heart is that there is no sewing needed, the applications are worked in while knitting and the pocket is attached in one go with the cast on and bind off.
In addition to yarn, needles and hook you will need:
Leftovers of felt, 8 square inch per color
Cookie cutters “star” and “heart” in two different sizes each
Tailors chalk
Hole punch
