Star-Shaped Christmas Tree Skirt
This knitted Christmas tree skirt is quick and easy to make, and a beautiful addition to your holiday decorations.
The tree skirt was made to fit spaciously around my 2-foot tall pink Christmas tree. It measures 22 ¾ inches across from one point to the point on the opposite side, so if you have a small tree, this tree skirt will look very nice around it, and provide plenty of coverage.
This is an easy project, which a beginner knitter can accomplish, however a bit of crocheting is also required because the edging consists of single crochet stitches. In addition, easy sewing, namely criss-cross stitches are used to sew the knitted pieces together.
It is recommended that you read entirely through the pattern before starting with it. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
For this pattern I used:
~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the color Pink
~ Red Heart Super Saver yarn, 4-medium in the color Shocking Pink
You can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.
~ Knitting needles size: US 8 - 5.00 mm
~ Size 5.5 mm crochet hook
- I want to keep my patterns free for everyone to use, but in return I would like to ask you not to sell them or claim them as your own. You are free to sell the completed projects you make with my patterns, however.
Have fun, and happy knitting!
