A snood is an ornamental hairnet or fabric bag worn over the hair at the back of a woman’s head. It looks like a slouchy hairnet hybrid. I love wearing mine when it is windy so my longer fine hair doesn’t fly in my face. It is also great for kitchen work, working in the yard, etc. And not only is it useful, but it is also fun and cute. As with my other snood this one is great for everyday use, for church, or for just dressing up a little.

This pattern is easily adjusted for larger and smaller sizes.

I prefer to use a fine or light weight yarn. Cotton or cotton blend on a 3 mm hook.

I used about 45g of light soft cotton on mine. But it really depends on your type of yarn and of course size.
