This patriotic sun hat combines the five point star with the three colors of the American flag to give the perfect sun hat to wear to your July 4th celebrations. The hat is made of 100% cotton so it’s light and breathable to provide shade from the summer sun. This is an easy pattern to follow and quick to work up.

This pattern is for an adult size hat but could also be used to make hats of other sizes.

You will need, 1 skein of red, 2 skeins of white and 1 skein of indigo.

Some fishing wire or equivalent to add a little structure to the brim.

Hook and yarn needle.
