This is a 9 page pdf file pattern with instructions to make this retro 80’s style headband. Short hair or long will look great in this extra wide, lacy, crocheted headband. Fastens with a button in back. Pretty any time of year, but sure to keep you warm when the weather is cold.

I have just added an extra file with children’s sizes.

This pattern includes all the variations shown in the photos in three adult sizes. This includes instructions to make the headband in bulky weight yarn (The gray headband in the group photo of all three variations)

This Star Stitch or Marguerite Stitch (smaller stars at the sides and larger in the middle to shape the headband) is a beautiful addition to any crochet libray. It can be used for shawls and sweaters or as a panel stitch for purses and hats. A short tutorial with photos takes you step by step to master this stitch.

Dimensions: (Un-stretched and the button is closed:
Teenager - Adult Small: 18 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches
Adult Medium: 19 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches
Adult Large: 21 inches by 4 1/4 inches

Child size file Dimensions (separate file):
3 Infant sizes 12 3/4 to 15 1/4 inches in diameter (1 star row - no button)
3 Child sizes 16 1/4 to 18 3/4 inches in diameter (3 star rows with button)
