This asymmetrical triangular shawl in two sizes is designed as a sampler; stockinette sections alternate with rows of different decorative patterns, many utilizing a star theme. Since the stripe sections are small, this project can provide a great opportunity for utilizing those leftovers in your stash! Directions are comprehensive, making this an ideal project for an introduction to decorative and lace stitches. This design is not charted.

The smaller shawl (pictured in blue/green)was designed using two different colors of Baah! yarn, 330 yds main color and 110 yds. contrast. It is shown worn with a shawl pin at the shoulder.

The larger, shown in grey with rainbow stripes,used Madeline Tosh Merino Light (420 yds) along with Manos Del Uruguay Fino (shown in 8 contrast colors, approx 150 yds. total).

The gauge is 25 stitches per 4” unblocked. This piece is designed to be aggressively wet blocked to open up the star sections. Gauge when blocked is 20 stitches per 4”.

Finished dimensions of the smaller shawl are 23”x55”x60”, and larger shawl are 33.5”x64.5”x73”.
