Notes:
A yarn with no stretch is best for amigurumi, I ordinarily use cotton or cotton blend.
Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round (unless it says otherwise).
For this pattern, the following yarns were used:
o YELLOW = Lincraft Cotton Yarn 8ply in Yellow
o BLACK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 402 Pure Black
o RED = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 416 Red Wine
I crochet loosely and use a 2.75-3.00mm hook with 8ply yarn but everyone differs. Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
The yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of the finished item. My Star is approximately 15cm tall (6 inches).
