A comfortable beanie with a snug fitting brim: Sprinkled with stars, the Star Walk Beanie is a wonderful companion for the cold season. The subtle star pattern is easy to knit. The use of a second contrasting colour adds even more sparkle

Size
One size: Circumference at brim approx. 52 cm (20.5“), circumference at body of hat approx. 60 cm (23.6”).
The size can be adjusted by changing yarn and needle size.

Gauge
Worked in stockinette stitch with colourwork, after washing, blocked over a balloon: 28 sts x 33 rnds = 10 cm (4“) square.

Suggested Yarns
Landhaus by Atelier Zitron, yardage 200 m (219 yds)/50 g, CC1 approx. 35 g, MC approx. 25 g, CC2 approx. 5 g
Rowan Felted Tweed, yardage 175 m (191 yds)/50 g, CC1 approx. 35 g, MC approx. 25 g, CC2 approx. 5 g
Drops Alpaca, yardage 175 m (191 yds)/50 g, CC1 approx. 35 g, MC approx. 25 g, CC2 approx. 5 g
I suggest to use yarns with a yardage of 175 m up to 200 m (219 yds) per 50 g.

Needles and notions
Please note: My patterns are explained for using the Magic Loop technique.
1 circular knitting needle, 2.25 – 2.5 mm (US 1 – 1.5), for the brim: 40 cm (16”) or 100 cm (40”) long for using the Magic Loop technique
1 circular knitting needle, 3.0 – 3.5 mm (US 2.5 – 4), for the body of the hat: 40 cm (16”) or 100 cm (40”) long for using the Magic Loop technique
or other needles for knitting in the round. The needle sizes should be adapted to your yarn and knitting tension.
For my samples, I used the following needle sizes:
Felted Tweed: Brim 2.25 mm (US 1), body 3.0 mm (US 2.5).
Alpaca: Brim 2.25 mm (US 1), body 3.25 mm (US 3).
Landhaus: Brim 2.5 mm (US 1.5), body 3.5 mm (US 4).

6 stitch markers (to mark the pattern repeats/optional),
row counter, tapestry needle, 1 inflatable balloon for blocking.

Due to the simple and repetitive pattern, the instructions are also suitable for beginners of the colorwork technique.

Star Walk Beanie* - German -

Nach dem anliegenden Bündchen bekommt die Beanie eine bequeme Weite und wird von dir mit Sternen bestreut.
Sie verteilen sich versetzt und strahlen aus dem zurückhaltenden und einfach zu strickenden Grundmuster heraus. Kleine Glanzpunkte kannst du durch Verwendung einer zweiten Kontrastfarbe einstreuen.

Einheitsgröße, Umfang Bündchen ca. 52 cm, Umfang Mützenkörper ca. 60 cm, die Größe ist veränderbar durch das gewählte Garn und die Nadelstärke.

Maschenprobe
Glatt rechts Muster in Color Work Technik, gewaschen und über einen Ballon gespannt:
28 M breit, 33 Rd hoch auf 10 x 10 cm.

Werkzeuge
1 Rundstricknadel 2,25 – 2,5 mm für das Bündchen, 40 cm lang, oder ca. 100 cm lang für Magic Loop.
1 Rundstricknadel 3,0 – 3,5 mm für den Körper, 40 cm lang, oder ca. 100 cm lang für Magic Loop,
oder entsprechendes Nadelspiel.
Die Nadelstärken sind nur Vorschläge, bitte passe sie an deine eigene Strickfestigkeit und das gewählte Garn an.
Je nach Garn habe ich folgende Nadelstärken verwendet:
Felted Tweed: Bündchen 2,25 mm, Mützenkörper 3,0 mm.
Alpaca: Bündchen 2,25 mm, Mützenkörper 3,25 mm.
Landhaus: Bündchen 2,5 mm, Mützenkörper 3,5 mm.
