Star Wars Imperial TIE-Fighter Square
As a follow up to my Imperial Logo Square, I decided to design an Imperial TIE-Fighter Square. Unlike the graph-ghan of a TIE-Fighter you can find online, this pattern is worked in the round, allowing for easier size adjustments and incorporation into any ongoing granny square based projects.
This is a fairly simple pattern, however you will be asked to switch colors multiple times in any given row. If you are uncomfortable switching between colors or carrying the yarn inside your work, there are many helpful video tutorials available on sites like youtube.
Using a sized G/4mm hook, you should, approximately, achieve a 10.5 inch square. Additionally, you will need three separate colors of worsted weight yarn. You will only need a minimal amount of color A (pictured: white), as colors B and C account for the majority of the pattern. You will not need the entire skein of any of the given colors-- I was able to crochet the entire pattern using leftovers from previous patterns.
IMPORTANT UPDATE AS OF 6/02/13
It has been pointed out to me that there is a mistake on row 9 of the pattern. If you are having trouble getting your corners to match between rows 8 and 9, do the following for row 9: start with ch1, and hdc3 (instead of hdc1). Follow the rest of the row as written, ending with a hdc1 and sl st to first st join.
