I can’t get enough of nautical stripes, and the incredible lace at each end of the garter stitch body creates a stunning accent to any wardrobe. Pattern includes a Large Wrap, Medium Wrap and Scarf versions.
This is the 2nd in our Salt in the Air shawl series eBook. The versatile rectangle shape starts with a provisional cast, is worked in garter stitch from end to end, then the 12” lace border is added.
Directions are fully written and charted.

Scarf: Fingering: MC: 325 yards (297 m); CC: 140 yards (128 m).
Medium Wrap: Fingering: MC: 475 yards (434 m); CC: 200 yards (183 m).
Large Wrap: Fingering: MC: 735 yards (672 m); CC: 325 yards (297 m); (Optional) Accent: 15 yards (14 m).
Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm) 24” (61cm) circular needle or size required to obtain gauge.
Sizes (Blocked):
Scarf - 62x12in. (157x30cm.)
Medium Wrap - 62x18in. (157x46cm.)
Large Wrap - 62x30in. (157x76cm.)
Gauge: 20 stitches & 40 rows per 4” (10cm) in unblocked garter stitch. 13 stitches & 28 rows per 4” (10cm) in blocked garter stitch. Garment is blocked aggressively.
