This patern is made in the interwoven or locking filet crochet technique. This is worked in the round, for which are tutorials on my website and YouTube channel.

I provide charts, written instructions, design options and also instructions to do the pattern in regular interwoven crochet.
The blocks can be joined as you go, for which I also have the tutorials and accompanying videos.

For this pattern I used Alize Cotton Gold in the colors 187 Light Yellow, 216 Dark Yellow, 83 Pumpkin, 243 Red for the color gradation and 17 Petrol for the ‘background’ color. You can of course use your own colors. Just keep in mind that you need enough contrast between the background color and the other colors, to be able to see the pattern clearly.

The practice piece of 20 x 20 squares (of the Hooked and Locked CAL, see the website) is approximately 21 cm x 21 cm (8 ¼ x 8 ¼ inch).

The size of 1 block is about 19 x 19 cm (7.5 x 7.5 inch).

I specify the yarn usage I measured per color for 1 single block. I measured it for a couple of blocks I did and here you find the maximum measured length. You can calculate yourself how much yarn you need for your project, that you can make as tall and wide as you want. Take about10% extra if you want to be safe.

De afmeting van 1 blok is ca 19 cm x 19 cm.

Ik geef je hier het door mij gemeten verbruik per kleur voor 1 enkel blok. Ik heb dit voor een aantal blokken die ik heb gemaakt gemeten en de maximum gemeten lengte genomen. Je kunt dan zelf berekenen hoeveel garen je nodig hebt voor jouw project, dat je net zo hoog en breed kunt maken als je zelf wilt. Neem ca 10% extra als je veilig wilt zijn.
