Starburst’s bright colours will shock you out of your winter daze. Use up all those balls of bright coloured acrylic worsted you have lying around to make a quick warm knit. As cardigan steeks personally make me nervous, this pattern uses straight knitting so there’s no cutting involved and no risk to your work.

Materials required:
Body Colour: Lion Brand “Pound of Love” (1019 yrds, 100% acrylic), Aquamarine 1 (1 1 2) 2 balls
Accent Colours: Lion Brand “Wool Ease” (197 yrds, 80% Acrylic and 20% Wool), 1 ball each of Deep Cranberry, Koi, and Blush Heather
Loops and Threads “Impeccable” (285 yrds, 100% acrylic), 1 ball Gold

Use the above yarns, or turn this project into a stash buster by using whatever acrylic worsted weight yarns you have in your collection. Acrylic wool blends make the sweater warmer.

A zipper is needed to finish off the front of the cardi. Purchase one that is the same length as the finished piece or slightly shorter. A reference for hand sewing zippers is included with the pattern.
