This cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is knit in the round with a repeating tuck stitch pattern until the full length of the cowl is achieved. The live end is then grafted to the provisional cast on for a seamless tube cowl. If you can knit brioche, you can knit this cowl! Pick two colors and enjoy this versatile piece!

This cowl is worked in two colors of fingering/sport weight yarn or lace weight yarn held double. I suggest using a solid color for your CC and a variegated yarn for the MC to show off the magic of this pattern! For a more refined, subtle version try using two solid colors. And for the color lovers out there - go with two variegated colors for a magical result!

I loved using yarn from The Plucky Knitter for this project - their Lusso sport weight cashmere made the perfect variegated MC and Spiffy Lace held double produced a wonderful shadow effect when used as the CC. Additionally the fabric is so light and fluffy that despite its two layers this cowl is still versatile enough to wear all year long! I would definitely recommend using a yarn with a similar texture - brushed alpaca or even a mohair/silk would provide lovely fabric.
