This snood was designed to be worn at an SCA event, with a 16th Century Italian gown. It would be really fun for Renaissance Faire garb too. Please understand that this is not historically accurate! The center motif measures 4.5 inches in diameter, and the final round measures 22 inches, which fits around my head perfectly. By using a bright metallic yarn in the center and a dark thread to match my hair on the outer rounds it looks like the center motif floats over my hair with no apparent anchor. I got a ton of compliments on it. Some people asked for the pattern, so here it is.
