Starfish Blanket
The star-shaped motif featured in this blanket has an unusual construction that is quite simple to master. Instead of working row after row of the same number of motifs, this blanket begins with one motif in the first row, increasing by one motif per row until the desired width is achieved, then decreasing by one motif per row for the second half of the blanket. The wide-scallop edging is then worked in rows sideways from the edge of the blanket. The finished result is a uniquely shaped throw, with a fun aquatic theme, that is ideal for brightening up a child’s bedroom.
