Hello, I‘m Super Star, and this is my sister Starlet and my little brother Twinkle.
Together we will conquer the sea in peace with our beauty and grace, and hopefully your bathroom, living room, nursery, study, and many more places.

The construction begins with the cast-on at the center top. Five fold increases build the top, which is worked in the round.
It is then divided into five equal segments that build the tube feet. The joints of the feet are worked flat and broadened using the Knitted Cast-On Technique which is explained in a special photo tutorial, later to be joined in the round again to form the individual tubes. They are shaped by continuing increases (m1r/m1l) at the top, and decreases (Cdd/center double decreases, explained in the pattern) at the bottom at a double rate to form the tapered shape.
A little mattress stitch seaming is involved to close the space between the feet.
To close the bottom on the underside, stitches are picked up along the inner edges of the tube feet. They are worked in the round and decreased (Cdd) in a star shaped manner to end up with a few stitches at the center bottom, right beneath the cast-on of the center top.

Techniques: Knitting in the round, knitting flat, Knitted Cast-On, picking up stitches, Mattress Stitch

The Knitted Cast-On Technique is explained in a special photo tutorial.

Yarn: DK weight yarn. Approximately 240 yd / 220 m for all three sizes.

For the original design I used 2 skeins of Schachenmayr Bravo (100 % Acrylic - 147 yd / 134 m per 50 g) for all three sizes plus one additional small size.
The colorways of my original designs are listed here.

140 yd / 128 m for the large size (Super Star)
68 yd / 62 m for the medium size (Starlet)
35 yd / 32 m for the small size (Twinkle)

Additional Material: Polyester toy stuffing. Approximately 65 g for all sizes.

~ 42 g for the large size (Super Star)
~ 15 g for the medium size (Starlet)
~ 8 g for the small size (Twinkle)

Needles: One set of DPNs size US 2.5 / 3 mm (I recommend strong needles because parts of the pattern are hard on them)

Notions: Tapestry needle, sewing needle, stitch holders / waste yarn, removable stitch marker

Measurements: Super Star 18 “ / 46 cm diameter, 2.25 “ / 5.5 cm height
Starlet 11.5 “ / 29 cm diameter, 1.5 “ / 4 cm height
Twinkle 7.5 “ / 19 cm diameter, 1.25 “ / 3 cm height

Abbreviations:
Cdd ……………………… center double decrease
kfb ………………………. knit front back
m1l ……………………… make one left
m1r ……………………… make one right

These techniques are explained in the pattern.

Apart from the photo tutorial for the Knitted Cast-On Technique, this pattern also contains step-by-step photos to demonstrate the construction in the first pattern for the large size. (All other sizes are the same on a smaller scale)

You should be comfortable with small circumference knitting, and you should be familiar with Mattress Stitch to work this pattern.
