This cocoon style shrug features a lot of positive ease and bohemian style. The design is modular and begins by working in the round for the center octagon, then picking up stitches and working flat in certain sections and creating a square, then a rectangle. The center octagon is a lovely old doily pattern that I modified for this design.

There are three sizes available, all are based on the center octagon. Size pictured is a Large. Because the octagon is worked from the center out, row gauge is important for this design.
