These stars are ideal as hanging ornaments for a wall, decorations for a Christmas tree or motifs for a garland. They can also be used as cute additional ornaments attached to Christmas gifts. Your friends and relatives will for sure appreciate them! The stars can be hung above the baby’s bed or become a nice decoration for a nursery.

You can make a one-sided star or crochet two stars, join them together and stuff to get a 3D hanging ornament. You can add cloves and cinnamon along with the stuffing or any other herbs or spices that remind you of Christmas. :)

This easy to follow pattern contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places.

Crochet level: Intermediate (front post stitches are used in this pattern).

The size of finished decoration depends on the yarn and hook you use. My stars are approx. 11 cm (4 1/2 inches) and 8 cm (3 inches) large in the widest place between the tops of pointy rays.

Materials:

** Leftovers of yarn in 3 colors. I
** Crochet hook 2.5 mm (C) or the size that will give an acceptable gauge.
** Scissors and Tapestry needle to weave the ends.
