This scarf is knit from one end to the other…. no grafting required. Ruffles at either end are identical (shaping is reversed).

Designed to be shorter than most scarves (40 to 55 inches), this design takes into consideration the weight of the beads, making this piece very wearable….. though there is enough in one skien of the yarn used to make the scarf longer without purchasing a second ball of yarn!

One pattern repeat measures one inch (6 stitches/8 rows) so it would be quite easy to add or subtract pattern repeats to achieve the desired width and/or length!

Beading is maximized at the ends of the piece, tapering off to having no beads in the center section that wraps around the wearers neck. It is possible to bead the entire length of the scarf if desired.

There is a chart in the pattern showing the placement of beads in the scarf as designed. The knitter is encouraged to take liberties with bead placement.

The scarf, as designed, has 20 grams (~240) of 6/0 beads.
