Starry Skies Wrap
This stunning rectangular lace wrap was inspired by the skyline of flowers and starry skies.
This wrap is worked flat as two pieces, starting from the narrow moss (seed) stitch edging at each end. The two pieces are grafted together at the centre of the wrap with Kitchener Stitch so that each end of the wrap is identical. The even rows of the lace work are purled plain and the odd rows worked with the lace detail.
The finished size after blocking is a width of 15” (38cm) and length of 60” (152.5cm). However, this wrap can easily be made longer or wider with additional repeats of the lace charts.
The photographed sample was knit with 3mm (2.5US) straight needles and 1 skein of Sweet Paprika, Grazioso yarn (65% silk, 35% linen), 115 grams/690 meters (756 yards), in Dandelion colour; however, there are many other wonderful colours.
The pattern includes charts for the lace work.
Enjoy and happy knitting!
