I made these mitts for my art-loving sister, who’s always been a fan of Van Gogh’s. After buying a skein of Fox and Feather’s Starry Starry Night yarn, I knew I wanted to make a simple pair of mittens to show off the colourway. The Starry Starry Mitts pattern is a nice quick knit for the mitten pros out there, and a great intro for mitten newbies - it’s mostly stockinette so you can focus on the construction. Also, because I designed it specifically to let the colour variations in the yarn shine, it’s perfect for that skein of beautiful hand-painted DK that you’ve waiting to find a project for! Your hands will be nice and cosy for all of your Autumn and Winter adventures.

Sizes: Comes in sizes S, M and L to fit hands 18cm - 23cm across (7”-9”).
Gauge: 24 sts and 33 rows to 10cm (4”) in stockinette
Recommended needles: 3.5mm and 3.25 long circular needles or DPNs
Yarn: Fox and Feather Cattail DK, or any DK yarn that knits tot the correct gauge. 170m (185 yds).
