Stars and Stripes 12" Square
This textured square was designed so that it can be created in one solid color or you can change colors at any round. The possibilities are endless. I write for the beginner crocheter in all of my designs as I believe it’s important to understand patterns and terms first before trying to decipher the shorthand writing included on the inside of most yarn wrappers:). On many (soon to be all) of my patterns you will find lots of pictures, photo tutorials, and lots of helpful hints, as well as alternate yarns with yardage used. Listed below the pattern are alternative yarns and hook sizes needed to obtain gauge. I have found that DK yarn is very similar to the Caron Simply Soft in thickness needed to obtain gauge so if you are using DK yarn, please follow the hook size used for the CSS brand. Final measurement of this square is 12″ X 12″, 39 sts by 39 sts.
