This blanket is worked in the round. You can easily knit a bigger size: just add rounds and continue with the increases. The sample shown is worked with the German words – in the instructions you find the charts for the English words.
Gauge is not important for this blanket project but if you want to know my gauge (a different gauge may affect the yardage needed) :

16 sts X 26 rounds in double knitting = 4 X 4 inches
Yarn: Kauni Effektgarn EQ, 400m/100g
2 skeins (mine were 140 grams each) , colors changes are in the same direction: blue-> red-> yellow → green → …
I started the first skein with green and the second skein with blue.
I used 245 grams altogether.
Needles: double pointed needles and short and long circular needle, 2.5 mm

size: 30 inches diameter

I added 3 pages with blank charts for own designs. You only need to print pages 1-8 to get the complete pattern on paper.
