Shine bright like a diamond!!!

Starshine Afghan is a wonderful project for the fall/winter season and makes a perfect Christmas gift.
But by using different yarn and colors it could easily become a beautiful summer blanket.

The size varies by the number of squares you make, the yarn you use and your gauge - so you can really just make any size afghan you want! For my blanket I made 48 squares and it is approximately 142 cm wide and 192 cm long, including the border. Each square is about 22 x 22 cm large.

Of course you can also use the pattern to make pillow covers, table runners or bags.

The squares are worked in the round and then crocheted together with slip stitches. The border is also worked in the round.

The afghan is done with overlay mosaic technique, which is explained in the pattern. It’s really quite easy, you only need single crochet and double crochet.

The suggested yarn is Yarn Art Jeans. For a blanket with 48 squares, like the one in the photos, it requires 34 skeins.

The pattern includes complete written instructions plus photo tutorial, charts in different color schemes and a video to get you started and do the invisible join.

Granny Squares mal anders!
Diese große Kuscheldecke ist ein wunderbares Projekt für die kalte Jahreszeit und obendrein ein perfektes Weihnachtsgeschenk für deine Lieben.
Allerdings ist das Muster auch vielseitige einsetzbar; mit feinerem Garn und anderen Farben gearbeitet wird daraus auch eine tolle Sommerdecke.

Ausserdem eignet sich das Muster auch sehr gut für Kissenbezüge, Tischläufer oder Taschen.

Die Größe der Decke kann ganz leicht abgewandelt werden. Für meine Decke habe ich 48 Quadrate gearbeitet (je ca 22 x 22cm), sie ist etwa 142cm breit und 192cm lang. Ich habe dafür 34 Knäuel Yarn Art Jeans (50g = 160m) verarbeitet.

Die Quadrate werden in Runden gearbeitet und mit Kettmaschen zusammengehäkelt. Auch der Rand wird in Runden gearbeitet.

Die Decke wird in Overlay Mosaik Technik gehäkelt, die natürlich in der Anleitung erklärt wird. Sie ist wirklich sehr einfach, du benötigst dafür nur feste Maschen und Stäbchen.

Die Anleitung beeinhaltet ausführliche schriftliche Anweisungen plus Fototutorial, Häkeldiagramme in unterschiedlichen Farbschemata und ein Video für den Einstieg und zum besseren Verständnis des Invisible Joins.
