This adult sized hat can be knit in light (size 5 needles) or heavy worsted weight (size 6 needles). Hat is knit on 16” circular needles.

Repeating the 12-row design twice before initiating decreases will create a cap (200 yards required). Repeating it 3 or 4 times (250 - 300 yards required) will create a Slouch Hat.

The decreases for the hat crown are also charted and written out in a row-by-row manner..

Suggest size 4 needles for hat K1,P1 ribbing.

Gauge: 2 Vertical Repeats of Cable Links: 11 stitches * 24 rows

In heavier yarn and size 6 needles: 1.5” wide by 4” long.
In Lighter yarn and size 5 needles: 1.5” wide and 3” long
