Stashbusting Striped Scarf
This pattern was motivated by some gorgeous Manos del Uruguay Marina lace yarn that was bought for an intricate shawl pattern. I sadly discovered my aging eyes couldn’t endure the fine detail and needed to find another use.
The lace yarn (color D) runs throughout, doubled up with each strip of fingering colors A, B and C and tying all three together.
A simple crochet edging tightens up all the sides and hides the multiply colors winding up one outside edge.
Yarn:
• 218 yards fingering color A (tan)
• 109 yards fingering color B (black)
• 109 yards fingering color C (white)
• 436 yards lace color D (orange)
Needles:
• US 3 (3.25 mm) knitting needles
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
Finished size:
• 8” x 67” as shown.
