Statue of Liberty Tea Cosy
The Statue of Liberty Tea Cosy was inspired by the amazing New York monument of the Lady of Liberty herself.
The Statue of Liberty tea cosy is the lady herself on the top of the cosy, holding forth her torch and holding the tablet. I love the way the nod towards the American flag at the bottom balances the tea cosy’s composure and brings extra colour and detail to the tea cosy.
The elevated arm and the crown spikes are supported with bamboo skewers to help them maintain their shape. This of course means that the tea cosy can’t be machine washed.
The Statue of Liberty a fabulous tea cosy and I can imagine that she will appeal to lots of people for lots of different reasons. I love that she looks retro dinner chic and Women’s lib.
There is a help video on Youtube to accompany this tea cosy, the link is included in the knitting pattern itself.
The Statue of Liberty tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting her very soon!
This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Statue of Liberty tea cosy.
