Stay Cozy
Stay Cozy is a really fun striped sock to knit using mini skeins or treasured leftover yarns. The colourwork panel near the toe is a playful reminder that can be read from the top and bottom of your foot. I couldn’t resist adding a strand of silk mohair to the main colour for extra fluffy coziness (silk and mohair are natural fibres that will also strengthen your heels and toes. Bonus!) This is completely optional and you can feel free to skip this if mohair isn’t your fave. I can’t think of anything cozier than a pair of hand knit socks. ❤︎ Happy knitting + stay cozy!
This pattern is designed to use up little bits of leftovers or mini skeins in your stash. I think a scrappy mismatched pair would be so cute!
The sample pictured is size 2, a women’s shoe size 8 and used the following yarn amounts to complete a pair of socks:
MC used 30g sock yarn +15g mohair
CC that are stripes only used about 6g
CC that are also used in the gusset and the colourwork section used 10g
If you’re knitting a smaller or larger size sock (or if your gauge is different than the pattern) you will use a bit less or more yarn. In general a typical 20g mini skein is tons of yarn for all sizes and CC stripes and you will have leftovers.
