This cute and funny little snowman beanie has dotted ribbing , a little zigzag pattern and the slogan “Stay frosty!” and many snowflakes on it!

The inspiration came from several sources :)
Justified season 4 (episode Decoy) when Raylan says : “Stay frosty!” to Bob, the constable when they barricade themselves in high school. Great show! Don’t miss it! :)
Season 5 starts on January 7th on FX!
I envy everybody who can watch it. I will have to wait for the DVD in UK to come out …

And from my friend Uta, who said that she imagines a rabbit wanting to steal the carrot nose of the snowman.
The result is a T-shirt with spreadshirt with this motive :)

And then it’s just a mere coincidence that Frosty - the snowman is also a christmas song :)

It’s not completely real fair isle, as there is one row with three colors. The nose row.
The snowman has a blue scarf around his neck and a smile on his face.
And there is a great star with snowflakes right at the top!
I knitted it in 4-ply sock yarn but you can use any 4-ply Acrylic or Merino yarn…
For bigger sizes you can switch to bigger yarn and/or needle size.

Due to the minor color changes the beanie can also be knitted by fair isle beginners.

The kid’s version leaves out the zigzag pattern otherwise the hat would become too long. It also uses a different shorter snowflake pattern.

Diese lustige Schneemannmütze hat einen Karobund, gefolgt von einem Zickzackmuster, Schneeflocken und dem Spruch “Stay frosty!”.
Die Mütze bzw. die Idee für die Mütze enspringt mehreren Quellen.

Erstens meiner derzeitigen Lieblingsserie Justified (season 4) Episode “Decoy”, als sich Raylan und Bob in der High School verbarrikadieren. Raylan sagt das zu Bob.

Zweitens meiner Freundin Uta, die meinte, dass der Schneemann vielleicht Angst haben könnte, dass ihm ein Häschen die Karotte klaut.
Daraus ist dann gleich ein Spreadshirt T-shirt entstanden ;-)
Und dann ist es eigentlich noch reiner Zufall, dass es ein Weihnachtslied über Frosty, den Schneeemann gibt.

Die Mütze ist nicht ganz echtes Fair Isle.
Es gibt eine Runde, die mit drei Farben gestrickt ist.

Aufgrund der wenigen Farbwechsel ist die Mütze aber auch für Strickanfänger geeignet.

Ich habe die Mütze in 4-fach Sockengarn gestrickt. Alternativ könnt Ihr jedes andere ähnlich dicke Garn verwenden (4-fach Merino oder Acrylwolle).

Die Mütze kann als Kindermütze oder als Erwachsenenmütze gestrickt werden.
Das Zickzackmuster fällt bei der Kindermütze weg. Sonst würde sie zu lang werden. Sie verwendet auch ein kleineres Schneeflockenmotiv.
