The scarf is knitted in full needle rib so a ribber is a necessity. The sample and yardage listed are using DK yarn on a bulky machine. 11 gauges are included in the pattern from 4 to 9 stitches per inch in full needle rib so any gauge of machine and many yarns could be used. The length of the scarf from lower edge to top is 7” in the sample. An 8” version is also included. The yardage required at the 9 stitc per inch gauge would be approximately 810-1200.
